I commend you for wanting to learn more about your system and making it work better but for deployments of this scale customers will often bring in consultants who know how the voodoo works.We have have exchanged old ap650 through newer ap7522. Do that after hours though as it will cause every WiFi supplicant in your organization to disconnect simultaneously! If nothing else you can use what it does as a guide to get started. One thing you can try is turning on WiFi AI in your controller and letting it handle things for you. It can be a long and tedious process to get it "just right" and then it can be derailed when someone close by turns on a new WiFi system. Ideally you want zero channel overlap and minimal coverage overlap.
